Senior Front-End Developer

Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain responsive web applications that deliver seamless and engaging user experiences. Collaborate with designers, product teams and business stakeholders to implement intuitive and accessible user interfaces. Develop clean, maintainable and efficient code using modern web technologies and frameworks. Integrate web applications with RESTful APIs and third-party services. Contribute to both front-end and back-end development activities where required. Develop and maintain automated testing solutions to ensure application quality and reliability. Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA and business stakeholders. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives. Translate business requirements into technical solutions and functional specifications. Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing applications. Create and maintain technical documentation, including setup guides, application documentation and API specifications. Required Experience Professional software development experience with a focus on web technologies. Experience building and deploying modern web applications in a commercial environment. Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. Experience working within Agile software development environments. Exposure to the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and deployment. Technical Skills Essential Strong proficiency in: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript TypeScript Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as: React Next.js Angular Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs. Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js and Express. Comfortable contributing across the full stack when required. Experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows. Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Experience working with Azure or similar cloud technologies. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Desirable Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience integrating third-party services and applications. Familiarity with cloud-native development practices. Personal Attributes Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement. Qualifications Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development or a related discipline. Agile, Scrum, DevOps or Cloud certifications are advantageous but not essential. Preferred Technology Stack React, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, Azure, Azure SQL, SQL Server, NoSQL Databases, Git, CI/CD, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Docker and Kubernetes.
