Senior GCP Data Engineer for Fund and Portfolio Services

For our client we are looking for a Senior GCP Data Engineer for Fund and Portfolio Services We are seeking an experienced data engineer consultant to join a strategic initiative focused on developing a next-generation cloud data warehouse platform in GCP that will strengthen and enhance our business capabilities. You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions, working with requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires close collaboration with both business and technical teams to drive successful outcomes. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, promoting best practices, and contributing to key architecture and design decisions. Key Skills and Competencies Extensive experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions, data models, data structures, and scalable data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Strong knowledge of data onboarding processes and best practices for integrating data from multiple source systems. Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability and performance of data platforms and pipelines. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation, modeling, and automation. Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling. Solid understanding of DevOps principles, with a focus on automation, operational excellence, and platform reliability. Experience working with Gitlab and Github and modern version control practices in an Agile development environment. Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery. Strong focus on testing, quality assurance, and test automation to ensure robust and maintainable solutions. Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams. Experience mentoring and coaching developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architecture and design decisions. Excellent communication skills with full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
