Senior Interaction Designer – Automotive HMI & ADAS

As a senior consultant, you are expected to work independently, drive your assignments forward, and effectively navigate within given constraints, requirements, and strategic directions. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Interaction Design Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Interaction Design, UX Design, or UI Design, with extensive experience from the automotive industry and HMI development. Experience within ADAS-related design is considered essential. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create and refine user-centered designs for future Scania HMI solutions. The role requires a self-driven individual who can independently lead design activities while aligning with established requirements, directives, and product visions. Key Responsibilities Design and prototype seamless user experiences using Figma. Develop high-fidelity prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts. Conduct user testing sessions and translate insights into actionable design improvements. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure design intent is successfully implemented. Contribute to the continued development and enhancement of ADAS-related functions and user experiences. Work proactively within a Lean Agile organization and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Extensive experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or UI Designer. Proven experience from the automotive industry, including HMI (Human Machine Interface) development. Experience working with and designing interfaces related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Strong proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping. Strong skills in user testing and gathering user insights. Ability to work independently, drive design initiatives, and take ownership of deliveries. Experience working in Lean Agile environments. Meritorious Qualifications Experience with Android Automotive systems. Proven ability to deliver user-centered designs in fast-paced development environments. ADAS L2/L2++ knowledge and experience is highly valued. Education University degree in Interaction Design, Technical Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
