Senior Java Developer (Upgrade project)

For our Client from banking industry we are looking for 🔹 Senior Java Developer (Upgrade project) 🔹 Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk or Gdynia - 3 days a week from the office Type of agreement: B2B contract This specialist will be responsible for developing and enhancing company's Java-based applications that handle taxation, account management, and investment processing for pension and savings products. Key Responsibilities Upgrade application at least to Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.3.x baseline - experinece with upgrades project Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investments products Build robust calculation engines that ensure compliance with current tax regulations across multiple countries Develop support for complex business processes, integrating with tax authorities, and generating customer facing reports. Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment Collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions Must-have knowledge and experience Strong proficiency in Java, especially Java 21 and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.) Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, etc.) Knowledge of messaging protocols such as JMS, MQ etc. Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles 💻 Ework Group - founded in 2000, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, with around 13,000 independent professionals on assignment - we are the total talent solutions provider who partners with clients, in both the private and public sector, and professionals to create sustainable talent supply chains.
