We are looking for a Senior Java Software Developerfor one of our Clients For our Client We are looking for a Senior Java Software Developer to join the team responsible for our warehouse automation control system. In this role, you will not only develop integrations connecting robots, conveyor systems, automated vehicles, and other automationequipment, but also help shape the technical direction of our control platform. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to design scalable solutions, drive technical excellence, and contribute to the evolution of the next generation warehouse control system powering highly automated logistics operations around the world. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex integrations using Java. Work with stakeholders to define integration strategies and ensure alignment with business and operational requirements. Design and implement scalable integration architectures connecting automation, warehouse, and enterprise systems. Drive best practices for software development, code quality, testing, and maintainability. Conduct code reviews and mentor developers across the team. Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches to support the future evolution of the control system. Develop and maintain Kafka-based messaging and communication solutions. Configure, deploy, and support applications using Docker Compose and container-based environments. Troubleshoot complex integration, networking, and system communication issues across distributed systems. Collaborate with architects and technical leaders to define the roadmap and technical direction of the warehouse control platform. Support the design and development of next-generation warehouse automation and control system capabilities. Work with databases to develop queries, troubleshooting issues, and optimize application performance. Required Qualifications Extensive experience with Java application development in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration principles. Ability to work with.Net and C# Experience designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems. Experience with Kafka or other message-based communication platforms. Experience configuring and deploying Docker Compose environments. Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and event-driven architecture. Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, ports, and troubleshooting). Strong database knowledge (SQL and relational databases). Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring other developers. Ability to analyze complex technical problems and drive solutions from concept to implementation. Preferred Qualifications Experience defining technical roadmaps and influencing architectural decisions. Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations. Experience with warehouse automation systems such as conveyors, sorters, AMRs, and ASRS. Understanding of industrial control systems and communication protocols between PLCs, WCS, WMS, and other operational technology systems. Experience modernising legacy applications and driving platform evolution. Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, observability, and modern software engineering practices. Passion for learning new technologies and helping build the future of warehouse automation systems. Start Date: September 1st 2026 or ASAP End Date: March 1st 2027 (Minimum 6 months) Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India (3 days in office + 2 days at home. 5 days in office in January 2027) For the duration of this assignment Ework Services (0,9%) will be deducted from the total amount invoiced.
