About the Role As a Senior Power BI Developer / Data Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming enterprise data into trusted, actionable insights through dashboards, reports, semantic models, and advanced analytical solutions. You will support strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making by translating business needs into scalable and user-friendly reporting capabilities. As part of the growing Enterprise Analytics & Insights Team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, platform teams, and other specialists to establish consistent reporting practices, strengthen analytics governance, and increase the organization's use of data-driven insights. Through your expertise, you will help establish scalable reporting practices, improve analytics governance, and enable the team to deliver trusted business insights more efficiently. Key Responsibilities and Scope • Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions, including dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and reusable analytics assets. • Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, KPIs, reporting needs, and acceptance criteria, translating complex data into actionable insights and effective visualizations. • Ensure high-quality, secure, and performance reporting solutions by applying governance, data quality, accessibility, usability, and design standards while optimizing user experience. • Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure reliable data availability, scalable model design, and trusted analytics. • Enable and advance self-service analytics through training, mentoring, documentation, best practices, and adoption of modern analytics capabilities and continuous improvement initiatives. Skill requirements Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including report development, Power BI Service, semantic modelling, DAX, and Power Query. Strong understanding of business intelligence, data analysis, KPI design, reporting frameworks, and visualization principles. Knowledge of dimensional data modelling, SQL, data quality, metadata, and governed reporting practices. Understanding of security and access concepts for enterprise reporting, including row-level security and controlled distribution. Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable enterprise analytics platforms. Understanding of agile product development, lifecycle management, and deployment practices for analytics solutions. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, data analytics, business intelligence, or a comparable role, delivering enterprise dashboards, semantic models, and scalable reporting solutions. Proven ability to translate business requirements into analytical models, KPIs, visualizations, and technical specifications, while collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment. Experience optimizing reporting solutions for performance, usability, governance, and user adoption, ensuring effective and sustainable analytics capabilities. Experience supporting and mentoring business users and developers in analytics, data visualization, and reporting best practices. Skills: Advanced hands-on capability in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, risks, and opportunities. Ability to simplify complex information and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to balance business value, user needs, governance, performance, and technical sustainability. Proactive and structured way of working, with strong attention to quality and detail.
