Senior Production Engineer (Robotics)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Engineer to support the development and improvement of assembly lines within a large industrial manufacturing environment in Västerås. In this role, you will contribute to both existing production operations and the development of new manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for developing production processes, assembly methods and ways of working, with a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency and delivery performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and improve assembly processes, methods and production flows. Work closely with line technicians, operators and other production support functions in daily operations. Participate in weekly meetings with line managers and support functions to ensure progress on ongoing activities and priorities. Develop and maintain assembly methods and work instructions. Work with PFMEA and other production engineering methodologies. Ensure that appropriate tools and equipment are available and meet production requirements. Analyze production challenges and drive problem-solving and continuous improvement activities. Support the development and implementation of efficient and standardized ways of working. Your Background At least 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer, preferably within assembly or industrial manufacturing. Master's degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a similar field. Good knowledge of ERP systems. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM). Experience in developing or improving assembly factories and production lines is highly valuable. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsible and improvement-oriented. You have a strong sense of urgency when production requires support and are comfortable taking ownership of activities within your area of responsibility. You are motivated by developing both production processes and ways of working, while continuously expanding your own knowledge and expertise. The role requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with several functions across the production organization.
