Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for an Senior Project Engineer for our client. Your role and responsibilities: We are now looking for a (Senior) Project Engineer to join our team at Digital Systems, ELDS in Vaasa. In this position you will design, implement and commission automation and communication systems for the electrification of industrial plants, data centers, wind/solar plants and utility substations. You will succeed in this role if you are innovative, organized, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Due to the nature of the work and location of the development lab, majority of the work is Vaasa based. You will be mainly accountable for: • Planning of the control system for the customer electrification networks • The implementation of the automation systems in the customer projects • Configuration of the Zenon based SCADA control system (ZEE600) • Customer specific HMI implementation of the Zenon based SCADA system • Engineering of communication devices and system • Participation of the cyber security implementation for the customer delivery projects. • System testing in Vaasa laboratory as well as on customer sites • Co-operating with customer representatives with a continuous development approach Qualifications for the role: • B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from Information, Automation or Communication Technology • Solid (> 5 years) relevant work experience from automation and control system engineering • Engineering experience of SCADA controls system • Knowledge in substation communication protocols (eg. IEC61850, IEC60870-5-104, Modbus) • Excellent English and Finnish, both written and spoken • The ability to build customer relationships with a long-term focus • A proactive and systematic way of working • Possibility to travel (average 25 days/year) • Knowledge of PLC or RTU devices and other relevant automation and communication systems is seen as a strong benefit Allocation: 100% Assignment start date : As soon as suitable candidate is found.
