Senior Project Leader

For our client Horse Powertrain/Aurobay we are looking for a Senior Project Leader. Horse Powertrain – Aurobay Technical Division, is now looking for a Project Leader to lead engine development projects for future ICE and hybrid drivetrains solutions. This is an opportunity to take a central role in complex automotive projects, working across engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, finance, sales, suppliers, and external customers. As Project Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating, follow-up and report project activities according to pre-series build/test plans and project milestones, internally but also towards external customers. You will lead the project from an engineering perspective together with sub-project leaders representing different engine system areas. Your role includes securing clear project direction, supporting decision-making for concept changes, managing scope adjustments, minimizing technical risks, and ensuring that agreed deliverables are achieved. You will act as the key interface in a cross-functional project environment, ensuring alignment between engineering, finance, sales, manufacturing, quality, procurement, suppliers, and customer representatives. The role requires strong leadership, structured communication, and the ability to drive progress when priorities, risks, or technical challenges need to be balanced. You will also be responsible for project budget ownership, including reviewing spend rate, approving costs, balancing the total budget to meet targets for cost, time, quality Example of deliveries: • Create and update a Project plan according to agreed project content • Drive Project information & Progress Review meeting to inform and coordinate sub team • Summarize and deliver status and gate reports, cost, time and quality • Identify, manage, and escalate technical deviations, project risks, and dependency issues to relevant management stakeholders • Secure and coordinate correct content for each build series • Interface to the customer of the Project On a personal level: You are a structured, proactive, and business-oriented leader with the ability to manage several activities in parallel without losing focus on overall project. You are self going and enjoy sea You will need to feel comfortable communicating in English as Horse Powertrain is an international company and you will also need to be able to communicate with different stakeholders, and teams, communicational skills are key. Skill requirements Do you fit the profile? • University degree or equivalent technical education within engineering • Experience from automotive industry and product development • 5-10 years of proven experience from project leadership, technical coordination, or similar leading roles in an engineering environment • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are meritorious in an international project environment Please note!
