Senior Project Leader within SW Release

For our client Volvo Cars we are looking for a Senior Project Leader within SW Release . What is in it for you? At Software Release & Baseline Documentation, part of SW Program & Quality within Engineering, we are responsible for leading and operating the software release process for complete vehicle software baselines. As software becomes increasingly central to our products, the Release Leader function is evolving into a critical capability for ensuring predictable, high-quality software deliveries. We are therefore looking for a Senior Project Leader within SW Release who will play a key role in driving this transformation. What you'll do This role is part of our Release Leader team. While taking ownership of your own release deliveries, you will also help shape the future of the Release Leader capability by coaching colleagues, driving improvements, and strengthening our way of working across the team. As a Senior Project Leader within SW Release, you will work as part of the Release Leader team and contribute to the successful delivery of software releases across our vehicle programs. In addition to owning and driving releases, you will play a key role in strengthening the Release Leader capability and supporting the team's continuous development. You will: Lead and coordinate software releases through the complete release process. Drive planning, prioritization, issue resolution, and release readiness activities. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Engineering to ensure successful deliveries. Act as a senior Release Leader and role model within the team. Coach and mentor other Release Leaders, sharing knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. Drive improvements to ways of working, release governance, and cross-functional collaboration. Lead selected improvement and transformation initiatives within the Release Leader community. Contribute to building a strong Release Leader culture focused on leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Help strengthen the team's overall capability and prepare the Release Leader function for future challenges. We believe you are A trusted leader who naturally supports and develops others. Required Qualifications MSc in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience from large-scale software development and delivery organizations. Proven experience leading complex projects, transformations, or organizational change initiatives. Experience within software release management, software integration, or software program leadership. Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Fluent in English. Swedish Driving licence PLEASE NOTE!
