Senior Project Manager to Modity
Would you like to lead two clearly defined parallel projects in an organisation where energy trading, regulatory requirements, business processes and IT intersect? Modity is looking for a Senior Project Manager who can bring together different perspectives, create structure in complex matters and translate business needs into concrete plans and decisions.
About the role
Modity is preparing for two business-critical initiatives. The first relates to REMIT and regulatory compliance, while the second involves a feasibility study and the potential procurement of a new ETRM system.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for creating structure, coordinating the parties involved and establishing a clear plan for the work. Modity already has a high level of internal expertise within the relevant subject areas. Your role will therefore be to bring this knowledge together, ask the right questions and translate complex needs into documented requirements, priorities and decision-making material.
The projects are intended to be clearly defined, with established objectives, deliverables and completion points. At the same time, Modity continues to develop its business and may have a need for additional projects in the future. There may therefore be an opportunity to work on other initiatives once the initial projects have been completed.
Responsibilities
In summary, your responsibilities will include:
Structuring and formalising business requirements related to REMIT and regulatory compliance
Working with Compliance and the business to translate regulatory requirements into processes, controls and ways of working
Developing a roadmap, action plan and priorities for both the short and long term
Planning and leading workshops, as well as documenting decisions and agreements
Gathering, analysing and documenting requirements for a potential replacement of the current ETRM system
Preparing requirements specifications and decision-making material
Preparing and supporting the development of RFP and RFQ documentation
Coordinating discussions with potential system suppliers
Managing the feasibility study and any subsequent implementation
We are looking for someone who
Qualifications
At least 4 years experience as a Project Manager, preferably combined with business analysis or business development
Experience leading complex change initiatives
Experience gathering, structuring and documenting business requirements
Experience working at the intersection of business operations, regulations, processes and IT
The ability to translate complex information into clear plans, priorities and decision-making material
Experience leading workshops and coordinating multiple stakeholders
It is an advantage if you have
Experience in governance, compliance or regulatory compliance
Knowledge of REMIT or other regulations within the energy or financial markets
Experience conducting feasibility studies and procuring business-critical IT systems
Experience preparing RFP or RFQ documentation
Experience from the energy industry, financial trading or another regulated industry
Experience with ETRM systems or other systems used for trading, risk management and portfolio management
Experience leading major system implementations
Who are you?
You are self-driven, pragmatic and action-oriented. You find it easy to understand new and complex matters, identify what needs to be done and establish a clear way forward.
You take a structured approach to your work and communicate clearly. At the same time, you are responsive, collaborative and unpretentious in your interactions with others. You particularly enjoy roles where you can bring together different perspectives, create alignment and ensure that decisions lead to concrete action.
