Senior Requirements Analyst – Sundsvall Location: Sundsvall, Sweden Working method: Hybrid / Partial Remote – minimum 3 days per week on-site Assignment type: Consultant / Sub-consultant Scope: 100% Start: 1 January 2027 End: 31 December 2028 Possible extension: Until 31 December 2029 Application deadline: 30 September 2026 About the Assignment We are looking for an experienced Senior Requirements Analyst for a complex IT environment involving system development, application management and business-critical support systems. The role focuses on leading requirements analysis within agile development teams, translating business needs into detailed and technically precise requirements, managing backlogs, supporting stakeholders and coordinating requirements across multiple development teams. The environment includes event-driven, distributed and service-oriented architectures with microservices, as well as legacy systems. Responsibilities Lead requirements analysis and requirements work within development teams. Establish, maintain and refine team backlogs. Break down complex business needs into detailed, traceable requirements and iterative development flows. Produce detailed requirements that enable development teams to implement solutions efficiently. Develop functional and technical descriptions covering: Function flows Acceptance criteria Backend and frontend requirements Error handling Accessibility Database requirements Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, users, developers and other teams. Create, maintain and prioritize backlog items together with stakeholders. Lead workshops, story mapping sessions and requirements activities. Create presentations, models, diagrams and process flows. Use SQL for requirements analysis, database mapping, information analysis and data inventory. Perform process, information, conceptual and data modelling. Support process development using Camunda. Organize, structure and communicate requirements clearly and pedagogically. Mentor and coach colleagues in requirements analysis and agile ways of working. Take on Scrum Master responsibilities when required. Contribute to knowledge development, process improvement and working methods. Mandatory Requirements Fluent Swedish, both written and spoken. At least 10 years of relevant experience in the Swedish public sector during the last 15 years. Extensive experience working in legally and regulatory-controlled environments. At least 5 years of experience during the last 10 years developing customer and case/processing systems within public support or equivalent operations. At least 5 years of experience during the last 10 years developing financial/economic systems, such as loans, grants, benefits, banking or finance. At least 5 years of experience during the last 8 years working with multiple parallel system development teams, dependencies and joint deliveries. Experience with system development involving Java code migrated from CA Gen. Extensive experience developing technically detailed and precise requirements. At least 5 years of experience during the last 10 years using SQL for requirements analysis, database mapping and data inventory. Very strong technical understanding of application development and IT systems. At least 15 years of relevant experience during the last 20 years in the field. Technical Experience Experience with: Agile requirements analysis and decomposition of business needs into requirements artifacts. Scrum and iterative agile development. Scrum and/or Kanban, with at least 8 years of relevant experience during the last 10 years. Scaled Scrum, SAFe or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant experience during the last 10 years. Scrum Master or equivalent responsibilities for at least 2 years. Jira, including agile workflows and collaboration between teams. Jira Service Management. Confluence for documentation and traceability. SQL and database analysis. Draw.io, with very good knowledge. Platforms and frameworks including: Angular Java Spring Boot OpenShift Camunda RabbitMQ DB2 Systems involving regular data thinning/data retention. Platforms or systems involving: IBM BAW MS SQL WAS 9 Java EE WebSphere Public Sector & Organizational Experience The consultant should have: At least 8 years of relevant experience within a government agency during the last 10 years. At least 8 years of relevant experience during the last 10 years within IT organizations with 100+ employees. Extensive experience working across multiple teams and organizational levels. Education Completed training in requirements engineering, such as IREB, SQEB or equivalent, is required.
