the opportunity to build and improve the quality and efficiency of the various growth tools that are critical for Lyft. Responsibilities: Help establish roadmaps and architecture based on technology and business needs Unblock, support, effectively communicate, and obtain buy-in across teams to achieve results Lead projects of multiple people from idea to positive execution Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code Utilize your expertise in Python, Golang, AWS, AI to deliver robust and scalable solutions Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge Proactively participate in resolving ongoing incidents and oncall rotations Share your knowledge through tech talks, mentorship, and evangelizing appropriate tech and engineering best practices Experience: BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience 5+ years of software engineering industry experience Extensive experience in object oriented programming, ideally in Python or GoLang Experience in backend software development of large-scale distributed systems, concurrency and NoSQL databases Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, etc.) Successfully led the design and launch of multiple components from concept to production. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $148,000 - $185,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
