Senior Software Engineer – Java & JavaScript

Location: Malmö, Sweden Assignment type: Consulting assignment Onsite: 3–4 days per week in Malmö We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with an international company in Malmö. You will join a highly skilled engineering environment and work on the development and evolution of modern, large-scale software solutions. The role requires strong hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript . The Assignment As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams in an international environment. Your responsibilities will include: Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions Develop backend services and APIs using Java Develop web-based functionality using JavaScript Work with integrations and distributed systems Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code Troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle Take ownership of solutions from design through implementation and delivery Must-Have Requirements Strong professional experience with Java Strong professional experience with JavaScript Experience with backend and web application development Experience developing and integrating REST APIs Good understanding of distributed systems and modern software architecture Experience with automated testing Experience with Git and CI/CD Strong understanding of software engineering principles and clean code Experience working in Agile development environments Professional proficiency in English Please note: Strong hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript is mandatory for this assignment.
