Senior Technical Consultant

We're looking for a senior technical consultant who thrives across the full arc of a complex technical engagement, from pre-sales scoping and architecture through hands-on delivery and handoff. As the sole Technical Services presence in EMEA, you'll work with our most strategic enterprise customers to design and implement custom solutions on the Asana platform, partnering closely with Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success Managers to move deals forward and deliver with excellence. You'll write code, shape architecture, and engage directly with IT and business leaders, bringing the same rigor, standards, and craft that define Technical Services globally to every engagement you run in the region. In the pre-sales motion, you'll partner with AEs and SEs to assess technical feasibility, define scope, and shape deal strategy for complex enterprise opportunities. In the post-sales motion, you'll own delivery end-to-end, designing and building scalable solutions using the Asana platform and third-party APIs, advising customer engineering teams on integration architecture, and helping customers unlock new value through AI-powered workflows, data migrations, and custom automation. You'll work alongside Implementation Managers to coordinate delivery, align on project milestones, and ensure a seamless customer experience from kickoff through close. You'll operate as a high-trust extension of the global Technical Services team, bringing a sharp customer-centric perspective from EMEA back to the central practice and contributing to how we evolve GTM offerings, delivery frameworks, tooling, and the Asana developer platform. A core part of this role is establishing consistent, globally-aligned ways of working across EMEA, applying the same playbooks, delivery standards, and engagement practices that define Technical Services everywhere. This role is based in our Dublin office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you'll achieve Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers during the pre-sales cycle — scoping custom engagements, assessing technical feasibility, and contributing to deal strategy for complex enterprise opportunities Own the technical strategy for each engagement — from initial scoping and architecture through delivery and handoff Design and deliver scalable, customized solutions — including AI-augmented workflows — that integrate Asana into complex enterprise ecosystems Lead post-sales delivery from kickoff through close — owning the project lifecycle, writing and reviewing code, and partnering with Customer Success Managers to ensure customers realize lasting value Partner with Implementation Managers to coordinate project delivery, maintain momentum, and hold a high bar for customer experience throughout each engagement Drive regional alignment with global Technical Services standards — raising the bar on delivery quality and ensuring every engagement reflects the practices and expectations that define the global team Evaluate technical feasibility of sophisticated customer use cases and drive alignment on solution strategy across cross-functional teams Engage with the EMEA services partner ecosystem — contributing to partner selection based on competency and fit, and serving as a technical stakeholder on partner-led engagements to ensure consistency with global delivery standards Identify patterns across engagements to build repeatable frameworks, tools, and delivery assets Serve as a senior voice of the customer with Product and Engineering — translating field insights and your own developer experience into roadmap influence About you 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, Customer Engineer), with a track record of owning complex enterprise engagements end-to-end 5+ years of hands-on programming (Python or Node.js required), with deep fluency in REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture Experience spanning pre-sales and post-sales technical roles — you're as comfortable scoping and pricing a complex engagement alongside an AE as you are heads-down in delivery with a customer engineering team Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools — including LLMs, AI coding assistants, and agentic workflows — to accelerate development, enhance solution design, and deliver smarter outcomes for customers Systems thinker — you architect for scale, anticipate failure modes, and build with both today's constraints and tomorrow's needs in mind Technically curious and current — you stay ahead of the curve on AI/ML tooling, developer platform trends, and emerging automation patterns, and actively bring that knowledge back to the team Executive-ready communicator — equally at home in a code editor and a boardroom, with the ability to translate complexity into clarity for any audience Owner-operator mindset — you don't just deliver; you build the systems, playbooks, and team habits that make delivery repeatable at scale Proven ability to operate as a solo regional practitioner within a global team — self-directed and independent day-to-day, while staying tightly aligned to centralized standards, ways of working, and team expectations Build strong working relationships across customer and internal stakeholders throughout each engagement, and influence with clarity and empathy Familiarity with services partner ecosystems — you know how to assess partner competencies, contribute to selection decisions, and show up as an effective technical stakeholder on engagements where partners are leading delivery At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds,
