About the Role: We are looking for two experienced Senior Test Automation Engineers to join a team within the Banking & Finance sector. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of investment fund trading systems by developing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks. The assignment involves a combination of automated and manual testing across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios in a complex, distributed architecture. You will collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve quality assurance practices. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks across multiple projects. Automate functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. Plan, design, and execute manual test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and drive continuous improvement of testing processes. Validate complex integrations, backend services, asynchronous messaging flows, and database interactions across distributed systems. Develop robust automation scripts with comprehensive test coverage and maintainable code. Prepare test data, analyze test results, identify defects, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to identify quality risks and ensure reliable software delivery. Apply a holistic quality mindset, determining where automation is most effective and where manual testing provides additional value. Requirements: Extensive experience in manual and automated testing of complex, backend-heavy applications and distributed systems. Strong proficiency in Java 21 or later , including developing test automation scripts and frameworks. Experience testing Java and Spring Boot applications and backend services. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or equivalent technologies. Experience with REST Assured or similar tools for API automation and validation. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases to verify data integrity and consistency. Experience testing distributed systems involving multiple integrations, services, and data flows. Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven architectures, including Kafka, JMS, or MQ. Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications for API documentation, test generation, and validation. Practical experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent. Strong object-oriented programming skills and knowledge of design patterns for building maintainable automation frameworks. Ability to create structured manual test cases and exploratory testing charters. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Professional proficiency in English. Nice to Have Experience with performance, load, stress, or resilience testing. Experience in banking, financial services, investment funds, or trading platforms. Familiarity with quality engineering practices in highly integrated enterprise environments.
