Senior Test Strategy consultant - WirelessCar

We are looking for a Senior Test Strategist for our client WirelessCar. Product Based Solutions is migrating its Products and Professional Services to the new WirelessCar Tech platform. We are looking for a senior test strategy consultant to define how Products and Professional Services should be tested across the Product and customer-delivery lifecycle. The assignment is similar to a Quality Assurance Lead role, but focuses specifically on test strategy, testability, and hands-on enablement of architects, DevOps, Product, Professional Services, customer-delivery teams, OEM customers, and suppliers. The consultant shall: Define a practical test strategy for Product Based Solutions on the new WirelessCar Tech platform. Define the appropriate test levels, including unit, component, API, integration, system, non-functional, and end-to-end testing. Define NFR testability requirements so that Products and Professional Services are testable, observable, diagnosable, and suitable for reliable automation. Work directly with architects and DevOps teams to implement testability requirements, automation, CI/CD integration, and quality gates. Define the responsibility split between Product-level testing and customer-delivery testing. Define end-to-end testing across the complete Product and Professional Services bundle, including customer-specific configuration, integrations, external systems, and critical business journeys. Establish requirements for test data, test environments, observability, diagnostics, test isolation, and test-result reporting. Define the role of API tests, contract tests, test bots, smoke tests, regression tests, negative tests, performance tests, resilience tests, security tests, and production verification. Assess current Products and identify testability gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement actions. Align the test strategy with the new WirelessCar Tech platform, delivery model, and DevOps ways of working. Provide practical guidance and coaching so that teams can implement and maintain the strategy. And - Establish clear, accessible test guidance so that: New developers understand how testing is performed, which test levels apply, what tools and environments are available, and where responsibilities lie. OEM customers and their test teams understand how to access test environments, use Product APIs, perform customer-delivery E2E testing, and coordinate responsibilities with WirelessCar. Suppliers understand the required test evidence, interfaces, quality expectations, and responsibilities when delivering Products or Professional Services. Expected outcome what consultant shall deliver: Documented NFR testability requirements for the relevant test levels. A documented test strategy defining test levels, ownership, responsibilities, and quality gates with recommendation of tooling that would support automated test execution and reporting aggregated traceability. A working test suite created in the new technology stack and integrated into the CI/CD pipeline, ready for DevOps teams to use across the relevant test levels. Validated customer-delivery flows end to end, including customer-specific configuration, integrations, external systems, and key business journeys. A documented responsibility and onboarding matrix, together with practical onboarding guidance for WirelessCar DevOps teams within Product Based Solutions, OEM customer test teams, and suppliers. Required profile The consultant should have broad, hands-on experience defining and implementing test strategies for distributed, cloud-native, or service-based platforms. The consultant should have strong knowledge and experience in areas such as: Test strategy and test architecture Unit, component, API, contract, integration, system, and E2E testing Customer-delivery testing across Product and Professional Services bundles Non-functional testing, including performance, resilience, security, and compliance Test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration NFR testability and quality gates Observability, logging, metrics, tracing, correlation IDs, and diagnostics Test data management, anonymization, isolation, and cleanup Test environments, service virtualization, mocks, stubs, and disposable infrastructure Cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, APIs, databases, and asynchronous messaging Migration, modernisation, or platform transformation programmes BDD/Gherkin, test pyramids, test quadrants, and risk-based testing Working directly with architects, DevOps teams, Product teams, Professional Services, OEM customers, customer test teams, and suppliers Bonus: Experience with WirelessCar’s new technology platform and its development, deployment, observability, and operations capabilities is beneficial.
