Senior UX Designer – Consulting Assignment in Gothenburg Are you an experienced UX Designer who enjoys solving complex challenges, shaping digital products, and creating meaningful user experiences? We at WeQuel are currently looking for a Senior UX Designer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work across the entire design process, from discovery and user research to concept development, prototyping, and implementation. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, influencing product direction while exploring how AI can support and accelerate the design process. As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with some of our clients who are leading companies within the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, contributing to process optimization, implementation of new technologies, and the development of sustainable solutions. About the Role: As a Senior UX Designer, you will take a leading role in designing intuitive, scalable, and user-centered digital products and services. You will work with complex user journeys, interaction design, and information architecture while helping teams translate user needs and business objectives into effective design solutions. The role combines hands-on design with strategic thinking, research, and cross-functional collaboration. You will have the opportunity to influence product decisions, contribute to design systems, and explore AI-assisted workflows for research, ideation, prototyping, and validation. Your main responsibilities will include: Lead UX design activities across complex digital products and services Drive the end-to-end design process, from discovery and problem definition to detailed design and implementation Conduct and guide user research, usability testing, and concept validation Develop user journeys, information architecture, interaction flows, and prototypes Translate user insights and business requirements into intuitive and scalable design solutions Explore and apply AI-assisted tools and workflows to support ideation, research, prototyping, and design validation Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders Facilitate workshops, design discussions, and stakeholder alignment Contribute to the development and improvement of design systems and reusable design patterns Design experiences across different devices, user groups, and digital touchpoints Communicate design concepts, decisions, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership Support and mentor other designers through feedback, collaboration, and design reviews Contribute to product direction and roadmap discussions from a user experience perspective We are looking for someone who: Has approximately 5–8 years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, or a closely related discipline Has a strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing complex digital products and user experiences Has experience leading design initiatives and contributing to product direction and design decisions Has strong skills in Interaction Design, Information Architecture, User Journeys, and Prototyping Has experience with user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements Has experience working across the full design process, from discovery to implementation Has experience using AI tools and AI-assisted workflows within the design process Has experience with code-based or AI-assisted prototyping tools, such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar Has experience working with complex systems, multiple user groups, or cross-platform digital experiences Has strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills Is comfortable collaborating with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders Has experience working in agile product development environments Has the ability to balance user needs, technical possibilities, and business objectives Has a structured, analytical, and user-centered approach to problem-solving Has a relevant degree in HCI, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience We Offer: At WeQuel, you become part of a consulting team that values people first – we believe that success is built through engagement, collaboration, and development.
