Senior Workday Integration Lead Developer

About the Role You will take a leading role in a major Workday implementation where more than 100 integrations need to be assessed, redesigned, and delivered across HR, payroll, identity management, finance, and other enterprise systems. This is a complex enterprise environment where integration quality, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability are critical. In this role, you combine hands-on development with technical leadership. You will help define the integration architecture, set development standards and best practices, and guide key design decisions together with architects, business analysts, application teams, and implementation partners. Job DescriptionYou will assess existing interfaces and redesign integrations affected by the Workday implementation. You will build scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations using Workday technologies. You will act as a technical expert for Workday integration architecture and support solution decisions based on business and technical needs. You will define integration patterns, standards, development guidelines, and best practices for the broader team. You will mentor developers and help strengthen Workday integration knowledge internally. You will work closely with implementation partners, architects, business analysts, and application teams to move design and delivery forward. You will contribute in solution design workshops and integration planning activities. You will identify risks, dependencies, and technical challenges early and help drive pragmatic solutions. You will ensure integrations align with security, compliance, and operational requirements. You will maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, support procedures, and contribute to operational readiness. Requirements7+ years of experience in enterprise integration development. 4+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience. Proven experience delivering Workday implementation or transformation projects. Experience integrating Workday with HR, payroll, identity management, finance, and third-party applications. Strong expertise in Workday integration tools, including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday APIs and Web Services, XML, JSON, REST, and SOAP. Understanding of cloud-based integration architecture and security principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills. Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries. Knowledge of HR business processes including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, and Payroll.
