Senior Workday Integration Lead Developer

About the Role You will join a major Workday implementation where a large number of existing integrations need to be reviewed, redesigned, and aligned with a modern target architecture. The role sits at the center of business-critical flows between Workday and HR, payroll, identity management, finance, and other enterprise platforms. You will act as a senior technical lead with real influence over how integrations are designed, built, and maintained. In close collaboration with architects, analysts, application teams, and implementation partners, you will help shape a scalable integration landscape that supports both current needs and future change. Job DescriptionYou will lead the assessment and redesign of existing interfaces and integrations affected by the Workday implementation. You will build scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations using Workday technologies. You will act as a technical expert for Workday integration architecture and guide solution decisions. You will define integration patterns, standards, development guidelines, and best practices. You will support architecture decisions and recommend solutions based on business and technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with implementation partners, architects, business analysts, and application teams. You will mentor internal developers and help strengthen Workday integration knowledge across the team. You will identify risks, dependencies, and technical challenges early and help drive practical solutions. You will contribute to technical documentation, integration specifications, operational readiness, and support procedures. Requirements7+ years of experience in enterprise integration development. 4+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience. Proven experience delivering Workday implementation or transformation projects. Experience integrating Workday with HR, payroll, identity management, finance, and third-party applications. Strong expertise in Workday integration tools including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday APIs and Web Services, XML, JSON, REST, and SOAP integrations. Understanding of cloud-based integration architecture and security principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills. Nice to haveExperience from financial services or other highly regulated industries. Knowledge of HR business processes including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, and Payroll.
