SEO Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE This is the in-house SEO lead position at a fast-growing AI communication SaaS company targeting SMEs across Europe and beyond. You will own the full SEO function end-to-end, from technical foundations to content strategy, and play a central role in driving international visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery tools. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own SEO strategy and execution across all markets, starting with DACH and expanding internationally. - Define how pages are built and structured, collaborating closely with website and engineering teams on technical SEO. - Lead keyword research and shape the approach for both traditional search and AI-generated results. - Commission or write content required to achieve top rankings. - Manage a monthly SEO budget of roughly €20,000 to €30,000. - Work with external agencies where beneficial, while retaining full ownership of overall strategy. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 5 to 10 or more years of experience with SEO as a dedicated, full-time role, not a secondary responsibility, with clear results at meaningful scale. - Proven international SEO expertise, including experience approaching markets outside your home region. - Fluency in both English and German, this is a firm requirement given the DACH market focus. - Strong copywriting skills, an SEO professional who can also write well is a genuine differentiator here. - Hands-on experience with website tools such as Webflow or similar platforms. - Comfort managing significant budgets and working autonomously in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: €65,000 to €100,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in Vienna, Austria.
