Join our IT Operations team as a Site Reliability Engineer and help keep the Paylogic ticketing platform fast, stable and ready for some of Europe’s biggest live events. Our platform powers ticket sales for major festivals, venues and events across Europe, where huge spikes in traffic can happen in seconds. That makes performance, reliability, scalability and security essential to everything we do. This is an SRE role with a hands-on infrastructure edge . Alongside automation, monitoring and performance engineering, you’ll work directly with our server and networking hardware, from provisioning and maintenance to routers, switches and network infrastructure. What you’ll be working on The Paylogic platform handles ticketing for many popular festivals, venues and events in the Benelux and the rest of Europe, specialising in high-performance ticket sales that attract a lot of attention. Because of this, we have a strong focus on performance, reliability, scalability and security. You’ll be working on custom-built Linux infrastructure that supports a platform used by millions of fans. This is not a cloud-only environment and not a role where everything comes with an off-the-shelf runbook. You’ll need to be comfortable working close to the systems themselves, understanding how they behave under load and improving them where it matters. SRE focus: Your role will include several reliability and infrastructure responsibilities such as: Routine maintenance and long-term upgrades of server and networking hardware. Monitoring and continuously improving platform performance, stability and security. Supporting production troubleshooting, incident response and root cause analysis. Leading capacity planning and researching solutions to support growth. Replacing manual work with automation wherever possible. Supporting stress testing, infrastructure improvements and operational tooling. Working closely with software engineers and product teams to identify and implement platform optimisations. In addition to the above, you’ll also be part of the decision-making process on how we further improve the reliability, scalability and operational quality of the Paylogic platform. Our stack includes Python, Percona MySQL, Memcached, Redis, Nginx, Nginx Unit, Apache, Ubuntu Linux and Akamai, including WAF, CDN, BMP and Prolexic . Broader role: As part of the IT operations team, you’ll work across infrastructure, automation, monitoring, performance and production stability. An interest in or even passion for infrastructure automation (the SRE mindset) and programming (developing your own tools) is a big plus. What to expect Paylogic is growing beyond the Benelux into more European and international markets, which means our infrastructure needs to grow with us. You’ll be part of the team making sure our platform remains stable, secure and performant as that happens, especially during high-traffic moments when expectations are at their highest. You’ll join a small, tight-knit team of technology enthusiasts who like getting into the details. Home labs, home automation, programming side projects and deep dives into technical problems are all familiar territory here. Because the team is relatively small, you’ll have real ownership and visibility . You won’t simply execute a runbook: you’ll investigate problems, propose improvements and have a say in how we evolve our infrastructure. We work hybrid, combining office days with working from home. During onboarding, we spend more time together in person to help you get to know the team, systems and way of working.
