Key Responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope Ability to price out Mechanical/Plumbing Small Works quotes Develop and validate cost estimates, including risks, contingencies, and indirect costs Collaborate with Operations, and partners to support pricing strategy Contribute to improving estimating tools, models, and processes Perform post-bid and job cost analysis to drive continuous improvement Support presentations and proposal development as needed Technical training in construction or equivalent combination of technical training and estimating experience. Relevant post-secondary education preferred. Strong Office Suite skills especially spreadsheets and word processing software. Previous work experience in a small works or institutional environment Experience in commercial construction estimating considered an asset. Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints. Mathematical skills and analytical skills. Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills. Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
