[SO] Senior IT Business Analyst and IT Consultant
Key Responsibilities: Consult & discover : engage customers, map processes, and translate business needs into epics, user stories, SRS, and acceptance criteria that guide delivery. Own requirements end-to-end : drive elicitation, refinement, traceability, and scope control; capture non-functional requirements (security, performance, availability, usability). Design best-in-class applications : co-create solution options, wireframes/prototypes, and service flows with UX and engineering to ensure cohesive, intuitive experiences. Modernize & migrate : analyze legacy workflows, identify gaps, and lead migration to target platforms with minimal disruption. Lead Agile execution : orchestrate backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews/demos, and stakeholder alignment on priorities and trade-offs. UAT & change readiness : plan and run UAT, create user guides/training, support rollout, and stabilize post go-live. Data-driven decisions : define adoption/quality/value metrics and dashboards; surface insights that steer product roadmaps. Quality & compliance : align with internal standards, policies, and applicable frameworks across the lifecycle. Mentor & uplift : coach junior BAs on analysis craft, stakeholder management, and Agile ways of working. Cross-functional collaboration : act as a trusted liaison between business units and engineering in a multinational context to ensure clarity and successful delivery. Success Metrics On-time releases of high-value workflow applications tied to explicit business outcomes. Requirement quality: low rework and low defect leakage to UAT/production. Stakeholder & customer satisfaction trending up (e.g., CSAT/NPS). Adoption & impact demonstrated by usage KPIs and process efficiency gains. Experience & Education 7+ years as a Business Analyst/Consultant delivering enterprise IT/workflow applications. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business/Information Systems, or related. Core Competencies Requirements engineering, process modeling (BPMN/UML), backlog management, and scope control. Agile delivery in cross-functional teams; solid SDLC understanding. UAT planning/execution, rollout/change management, and product adoption tactics. Familiarity with UX practices (wireframes, prototypes, usability feedback). Data orientation—SQL basics and dashboarding/visualization are a plus. Languages & Certifications Fluent English for global collaboration; German (B2+) is a plus. Nice to have: CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO/Agile certifications. Attitude & Ways of Working Proven ability to mentor junior BAs; comfortable running multiple initiatives in parallel. Technical aptitude and curiosity: quick to learn and apply AI and low-code/no-code concepts in discovery and validation.
