🔹 For our Client we are looking for Senior Cobol Developer - Payroll Systems 🔹 Office presence required We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to build and maintain Denmark's leading payroll system for public sector customers — solving complex, mission-critical challenges that keep the Danish welfare system running. Our client, develops and operates products within Payroll, Finance, HR Administration, Organisation and Management Information for municipalities and regions across Denmark, with the ambition of being the most valuable partner for the Danish public sector. Public sector employees expect to be paid the right amount at the right time — and this team makes sure that happens. The Payroll & Finance team responsible for this service currently counts 11 people across Denmark and Poland , and your future colleagues are looking forward to welcoming you. Most of the current platform runs on mainframe, DB2, and Cobol. Your Role: Build, Maintain and Modernise a Mission-Critical Payroll Platform Develop new services, working in close collaboration with fellow developers on the team and beyond Maintain a highly complex platform, resolving incidents as they arise Ensure high quality in solutions through reviews and testing Spot and remove technical debt, keeping the platform renewed and delivering strong business value Challenge how the team works, and help optimise processes and methods Bring hands-on knowledge of and experience with DB2 and Cobol Your Profile: A Strong Analytical Developer Who Thrives on Complexity Strong analytical skills, and the confidence to get to grips with a complex domain Good communication skills — comfortable working with business developers, support, and sales colleagues Able to collaborate in a global setup with colleagues in both Denmark and Poland, fluent in English (spoken and written) A team player who brings energy, good humour and the will to succeed Experience with DB2 and Cobol What's in it for you?
