Software Engineer - .NET/C#
For our client we are looking for a Software Engineer - .NET/C#. Would you like to work close to production and contribute to the industrial systems of the future? As a Software Engineer, you will play an important role in the development of our production-critical systems. You will design, develop, and maintain software that integrates with PLCs, machinery, and other OT solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an environment where technology meets manufacturing and who wants to combine modern software development with industrial technology to contribute to a robust, efficient, and sustainable production environment. Job Description In this role, you will work broadly with software development in an environment where technology and production intersect. You will be responsible for both the development of new solutions and the enhancement of existing systems and applications. The work is carried out in close collaboration with production, automation, and cross-functional teams, where you will serve as an important technical resource. Your main responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain software applications that integrate with PLCs and OT systems. Write scalable, structured, and efficient code and perform relevant testing. Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize existing applications. Participate in code reviews and contribute to high code quality and shared development standards. Gather requirements from users and support functions and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with production, automation, and IT teams to develop and deliver new functionality. Ensure the stable operation of the Production IT environment. Integrate machines and equipment with IT and OT systems. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient development and deployment processes. Handle production-critical issues in a systematic and solution-oriented manner. You will become part of a team of twelve developers who work closely together to deliver successful results. At our company, people rarely work entirely on their own. Instead, collaboration with one or more colleagues is the norm. Therefore, strong teamwork skills and the ability to design, review, and implement solutions together with others are essential. We work within a shared codebase, a monorepo, which the entire team uses and continuously improves together. Qualifications As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and action-driven. You enjoy a role where you can take initiative, drive work forward, and contribute to improvements and innovation. You work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, take ownership of your responsibilities, and easily build strong relationships in a dynamic environment. You collaborate effectively both within your team and across functions throughout the organization. You are also curious about new ideas, technologies, and ways of working, and you have the ability to transform theoretical knowledge into practical, value-creating solutions that make a real difference in production. We would like you to have: Experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role. A solid understanding of modern software development principles. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Strong skills in C# and .NET. Hands-on experience with databases such as SQL or MongoDB. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, or Ethernet/IP. Experience with CI/CD methodologies and/or DevOps practices. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is considered an advantage. Experience from automated manufacturing, the automotive industry, or other regulated industries is highly desirable. Experience driving technical projects from requirements gathering through implementation is a plus. Fluent Swedish and English skills, both written and spoken. Because you work closely with our production processes, you perform at your best when you are present on-site in the business. This allows you to quickly see the impact of your solutions, collaborate closely with colleagues, and be a natural part of the day-to-day operations. Please note! We offer continuously. That means that we sometimes remove the assignments before deadline. If you are interested we recommend that you apply immediately.
