Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to drive the design and transformation of mortgage loan origination and servicing solutions for a leading Nordic universal bank. Role Description: As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing scalable, integrated solutions across the mortgage lending domain, with an initial focus on the Danish mortgage market. You will work across modern web and mobile platforms, microservices architectures, and mainframe systems to deliver business-critical capabilities. The role involves simplifying complex mortgage ecosystems and integrations spanning Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden to improve customer and employee experiences. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, development teams, suppliers, and management while documenting solution designs and supporting delivery within SAFe and other agile frameworks. Responsibilities: Design end-to-end solution architectures for mortgage loan origination and servicing platforms. Develop detailed process flows, system diagrams, integration designs, and data models. Define and govern integration patterns across modern applications, microservices, backend systems, and mainframe environments. Drive simplification and modernization of complex mortgage solutions and cross-country banking integrations. Produce and maintain architecture documentation using Confluence, Word, and architecture tooling such as Mega Hopex. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, suppliers, and delivery teams to ensure alignment on solution design and implementation. Facilitate architecture reviews and handovers to development teams across international locations. Support change initiatives delivered through SAFe and other agile delivery methodologies. Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders. Requirements: Strong expertise in solution architecture, systems integration, and end-to-end solution design. Experience creating detailed process and system diagrams, integration designs, and data models. Solid understanding of microservices, micro-applications, APIs, and distributed architectures. Experience working with both modern technology stacks and legacy platforms, including mainframe environments. Experience working in agile environments, preferably within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience collaborating with suppliers, development teams, architects, and senior management. Domain knowledge of mortgage lending is highly desirable, particularly within the Danish mortgage market. Understanding of bond funding, securities trading, and settlement processes is an advantage and experience with Calypso or similar capital markets platforms is considered a strong asset.
