Staff Backend Engineer

Qualifications: 7-10 years of backend engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices-based architectures. Strong experience designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems in a cloud-native environment. Proven track record of delivering complex backend projects end-to-end, from technical design through production deployment and support. Experience building high-volume, event-driven systems using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of system design fundamentals, including scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, performance optimization, and observability. Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and asynchronous processing patterns. Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, operational issues, and technical debt within large-scale production systems. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a focus on delivering reliable customer-facing solutions. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. Experience participating in technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices to maintain high-quality software. Experience working with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
