Staff Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE This is an early, high-impact opportunity to join a Series A/B AI-native fintech SaaS company and lead platform development from the ground up. You'll partner closely with executive leadership and a collaborative engineering team to shape architecture, set technical direction, and ship software that directly powers finance teams at scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap. - Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end. - Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack. - Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing, healthy team culture. - Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 8+ years of software development experience, with a clear staff-level track record rather than merely solid senior performance. - 3+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture. - Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript or JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with experience in React. - True full-stack or strongly frontend-leaning engineering profile. - Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership: architecture ownership, mentoring engineers, and raising overall team effectiveness. - Experience partnering with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables. - Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including architecting, deploying, and operating scalable services. - Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale. - Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. - Consistent employment history and interest in remaining on a senior individual-contributor engineering track. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $185,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
