Key Responsibilities: Drive robotic perception technology vision and development roadmap Be the go-to-person for the state-of-the-art computer vision technologies and its application in FC automation Lead design, development, test, and deployment of integrated automation and robotic perception systems, especially for robotic manipulation Working with other members of the engineering team and stakeholders to execute against project plans and delivery commitments within an Agile/Scrum environment Deliver production-quality HW and SW perception systems in order to achieve the scalability, reliability, availability, extensibility, and performance objectives Bring innovative ideas to practice and continuously improve the efficiency, reduce the cost and wow the customers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field 6 years of experience in backend software development Experience developing and deploying AI, ML for robotic perception systems and logistic automation Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in developing and deploying AI, ML, robotic perception solutions with competing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment Working closely with multiple engineering teams from fulfillment and logistics fields, which is mainly operating based on KST time-zone Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, AI, ML, Robotics, Computer Vision, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience in FC and logistic automation using robotic manipulation technologies Demonstrated ability of building, integrating, and delivering highly reliable and automated warehouse systems using AI, ML, computer vision technologies, especially using robotic arm and robotic manipulation solutions In-depth knowledge of real-time AI, ML such as DNN, object detection, tracking, recognition and pose estimation, 3D data processing, 3D object recognition, automated sensor calibration, etc Deep expertise in real-time AI, ML, robotics, robotic manipulation and automation system and technologies Well versed with robotic perception ecosystem including 2D, 2.5D and 3D sensors, real-time computer vision processing platform, libraries and peripherals vendors Proven record of innovation and problem-solving skills, especially in the areas of logistics and fulfillment automation using computer vision and robotic arms Deep expertise in building high quality real-time robotic perception systems including sensor, hardware and software design, code reviews and QA processes Pay & Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,00/year to $282,000/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
