Strategic Buyer – Industrial & Technical Environment
Start: ASAP Location: Västerås, Örnsköldsvik or Malmö Work model: Hybrid, minimum 2 days/week onsite once fully operational We are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer for a business-critical assignment within an international industrial and technical environment. In this role, you will drive strategic procurement activities with a strong focus on supplier management, sourcing strategies, negotiations, tenders, and long-term value creation. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers both locally and globally Manage supplier relationships and establish supplier strategies based on business needs Manage multiple tenders and projects in parallel Take commercial responsibility towards suppliers, including negotiations and contract management Support efficient and compliant purchasing processes Drive process improvements and standardization in line with global guidelines Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams Promote best practices within HSE, business ethics, compliance, and procurement Your Background Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience within procurement, sourcing, or supply chain Strong experience in strategic sourcing, tender management, negotiations, contracts, and supplier management Good understanding of financial structures and supply markets Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools Technical understanding from education or experience in a technical/industrial environment Knowledge of IT category management Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently as well as in cross-functional and multicultural teams Fluent in Swedish and English The terms and conditions for the assignment will be based on Ework’s framework agreement with the client.
