Om jobbet (About the Role): Gothenburg International School (GIS) is seeking dedicated, dynamic Subject Teachers to join our international faculty in Mölndal. We are looking for specialists in core subject areas—including English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities—for Primary and Lower Secondary year groups (Key Stages 1–3). Operating with small class sizes (maximum 15 students per class), you will have the space and resources to deliver high-quality, individualized instruction using the British Cambridge Curriculum framework. Dina arbetsuppgifter (Your Responsibilities): Subject Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, rigorous lessons in your subject area following the Cambridge International Curriculum. Assessment & Differentiation: Continuously assess student progress, providing targeted support and extension activities to cater to diverse learning styles. Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic ambition. Collaboration & Parent Communication: Work closely with subject departments, the Student Support Team, and parents to support each student's holistic growth. Extracurricular Contribution: Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and extracurricular clubs or activities. Kvalifikationer (Qualifications & Requirements): Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a specialized subject degree with a teaching credential (e.g., QTS, Bachelor of Education, or Swedish Lärarlegitimation). Subject Expertise: Demonstrated mastery in one or more core subject areas (Mathematics, English Language/Literature, General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, or Geography). Language Skills: Native or near-native fluency in English (instruction language). Functional proficiency in Swedish is a welcome bonus. Curriculum Experience: Prior experience delivering the Cambridge Curriculum, British National Curriculum, or IB MYP/PYP is highly advantageous. Background Check: A valid extract from the Swedish criminal record registry (Belastningsregister för skola/förskola) is required before start.
