SW Tester
Assignment Description Positioning Test Lead, Robotics About the role Husqvarna Robotics develops autonomous products that combine embedded software, sensors, connectivity, and intelligent navigation. We are looking for an experienced Positioning Test Lead to join our Robotics Testing organisation. You will lead a team of three testers responsible for manual and automated testing of positioning functionality in our Automowers. The positioning area includes technologies and functions such as: • GNSS and RTK positioning • LiDAR-based positioning • Correction data and correction data sources • Positioning interfaces and related integrations You will treat the positioning function as a subsystem with its own requirements, interfaces, risks, behaviours, and expected results. Your responsibility is to define how it should be tested and provide clear evidence of its quality and readiness for integration into the complete robotic product. The role covers both the development of new positioning solutions and the maintenance of similar solutions already used by customers. What success looks like In this role, you and the team should be able to answer: • How should the positioning function be tested? • Which requirements, interfaces, and risks must be covered? • What should be tested manually, and what should be automated? • Which test environments and levels are needed? • What do the results from test rigs and physical Automowers show? • How does the latest implementation compare with previous versions? • Is a failure located within positioning, one of its interfaces, another subsystem, or the complete product? • Is the positioning function ready for further integration or release? • What risks or limitations need to be communicated? • How are positioning solutions already used by customers performing and being maintained? Tasks As Positioning Test Lead, you will: • Lead and support a team of three testers working with manual and automated testing. • Analyse positioning requirements, interfaces, technical designs, and expected behaviour. • Define the overall test approach for positioning at module, subsystem, and integration levels. • Create test plans that describe what will be tested, how it will be tested, when activities will take place, and who will perform them. • Plan and distribute testing activities within the team. • Decide which tests should be automated and which should be performed manually. • Design and maintain relevant test scenarios, methods, environments, and acceptance criteria. • Coordinate testing using test rigs, automated environments, and physical Automowers. • Collect and analyse test results, logs, measurements, and statistics from different test environments. • Follow up progress and report test status, results, risks, and limitations during each sprint. • Support fault isolation and determine whether an issue belongs to the positioning function, its interfaces, another subsystem, or the complete product. • Ensure that test results provide clear evidence for technical and release decisions. • Support the maintenance and verification of positioning solutions already available to customers. • Help team members develop their technical skills, take greater ownership, and become more independent in their work. • Improve test methods, automation, tools, environments, and ways of working. You will work closely with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, projects, and other test teams. Required skills You have experience in several of the following areas: • Leading or coordinating testing activities within a technical team. • Testing embedded software, robotics, automotive systems, or similar complex products. • Module, subsystem, function, and integration testing. • Requirements analysis, test planning, and test design. • Manual and automated testing. • Test automation and scripting, preferably using Python or a similar language. • Test rigs, simulation, HIL, SIL, or other automated test environments. • Analysis of logs, measurements, test results, and technical statistics. • Debugging, fault isolation, and root cause analysis. • Working with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools. Experience with GNSS, RTK, LiDAR, positioning systems, correction data, sensor systems, or autonomous products is must. Start Date of the Assignment: 2026-10-05 Duration of the Assignment: 2027-09-30 Location Huskvarna Estimated Workload: 100% Division Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division Working Language Swedish & English
