System Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day Imagine joining our Mechanical Engineering team for Medium Gas Turbines, where your expertise will be vital in ensuring business continuity and supporting customer order engineering projects. In this role as a System Engineer, you will engage in advanced Mechanical System Design & Development, focusing on design of steel structures and installation solutions. You will tackle rigorous Technical Design creations in NX, Analysis & Problem Solving to optimize performance and efficiency, while also taking on Project Management & Other engineering disciplines. Mentorship responsibilities to guide processes and support junior team members. Your contribution will be essential in delivering comprehensive engineering solutions in customer order engineering projects. support from concept to execution. How You’ll Make an Impact ● Act as the responsible engineer within customer order projects. ● Apply the full engineering design process to adapt designs to satisfy the customer needs ● Design innovative steel structures and installation solutions while producing manufacturing data in NX and associated technical documentation. ● Engage with other package systems and contribute to the overall design philosophy of our gas turbine packages. ● Collaborate with procurement and sub-suppliers to develop robust technical solutions, addressing generic issues and conducting root cause analyses. ● Work closely with the project team to ensure design work aligns with the current schedule, creating, reviewing, and updating documentation within your technical area. What You Bring ● A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge/ experience. ● Professional experience in a mechanical engineering role, working with complex machinery or energy systems. ● Strong understanding of applicable norms and standards in process and mechanical engineering, both EN and ASME. ● Proven experience managing engineering projects, preferably from a multicultural environment. ● Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Siemens NX and Teamcenter. ● Background within large industrial gas turbine engineering is a merit ● Excellent teamwork skills, with a structured, driven approach to prioritizing and organizing your work effectively. ● Good communication in both Swedish and English is preferred. About the Team You will be part of a dedicated Mechanical Engineering team focused on the design and development of medium gas turbines. Our responsibilities are design of steel structures and installation solutions both in workshop assembly stage and site installation stage. Our main responsibilities areas are gas turbine/generator base plate, gas turbine unit lifting tool, gas turbine core engine service roll-out tool, service platforms etc, and to adapt this to our customers specific requirements. Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
