Teaching Assistent
We are looking for a candidate with documented experience working with Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) as a model system, including cultivation, genetic crossing schemes, and drug testing. The successful applicant should have practical experience with cytotoxicity assays and molecular biology techniques such as RNA and DNA extraction, RNA purification, qPCR, and protein analysis, including Western blotting.
Experience with fluorescence microscopy for gene expression analysis is required. The position also requires the ability to work independently, in a structured and meticulous manner, and to follow established protocols and instructions.
Good computer skills and excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
The following qualifications are considered meritorious:
- Experience with statistical analysis software, such as GraphPad Prism.
- Experience with image analysis software.
- Ability to read, critically evaluate, and present scientific literature.
- Additional experience with fluorescence microscopy and advanced molecular biology laboratory techniques.
## **Employment**
The employment is limited (temporary) for 9 months, 20 % of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, the Department of Surgery. Starting date; On agreement.
