Technical Lead, MFT / EDI-integration (IBM Sterling)

About the role You will take technical ownership of a business-critical B2B integration platform built on IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) and Sterling File Gateway (SFG). You will lead requirements, solution design, delivery and operations for secure file exchange with trading partners in an SLA-governed environment. Responsibilities Own the technical direction of the SI/SFG platform and lead requirements gathering, solution design and delivery. Design and implement standardized, reusable frameworks for file routing and transfer. Install, configure and upgrade Sterling Integrator and File Gateway (6.x) on new infrastructure. Design and build static and dynamic routing channels in SFG. Develop business processes in GPM/BPML, including translation and envelope processes, and deploy them to SI. Build custom Java task services where standard functionality falls short. Onboard trading partners: TP profiles, producer/consumer mailboxes, permissions and user accounts. Configure and troubleshoot SFTP, FTPS, FTP, HTTPS, AS2 and IBM Connect:Direct (MQ and Kafka a plus). Develop and validate EDI maps in ANSI X12 and EDIFACT, as well as SAP IDoc, XML, CSV and flat files. Lead migrations from legacy platforms (Gentran, WDI) to Sterling Integrator. Provide production support, incident and change management, troubleshooting and performance tuning of business processes. Coordinate with partners and onshore/offshore teams, report status, and maintain documentation and the knowledge base. Support pre-sales activities: technical demos, proofs of concept, customer training and onboarding. Requirements 10+ years of MFT/EDI experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway. Deep knowledge of GPM, BPML, routing channels, adapters and services. Experience with EDI mapping (Sterling Map Editor) in X12 and EDIFACT. Strong knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, FTP, AS2 and Connect:Direct. Java, SQL, XML and XSLT. Experience with databases (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) and Windows and Linux. Experience with 24/7 production support in SLA-governed environments. Fluent English, spoken and written. Nice to have Sterling ITXA, SAP integration (ALE/RFC, IDoc) or Oracle EBS. Experience with migration projects (Gentran/WDI to Sterling). Background in insurance, healthcare (837/835), retail or logistics. Experience with partner-management products and pre-sales/POC work. Onsite client delivery experience internationally. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
