Wibe Group is an international industrial organization with approximately 400 employees and operations across Sweden, India, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Malaysia. The company is now strengthening its operations organization with a new senior technical leadership role. Wibe is looking for a TECHNICAL MANAGER Would you like to take a leading role in strengthening technical production development across an international manufacturing group? In this role, you will: • Lead the engineering, process development and maintenance organisation • Set objectives, KPIs, budgets and technology roadmaps • Strengthen technical production development and support the factories in improving efficiency • Drive digitalisation, productivity, quality and capacity improvements • Lead investment, industrialisation and strategic improvement projects • Own the maintenance strategy and execution at the group’s largest factory • Develop preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime • Promote Lean, Six Sigma, waste reduction and the sharing of best practices About the role As Technical Manager, you lead product design, industrialisation and process improvement while also holding responsibility for maintenance at Wibe’s largest factory. You will manage an organisation of approximately 15 employees, including one manager, with eight direct reports. The team includes process engineers and maintenance employees. You will oversee product design, testing, validation and release, applying design-for-manufacture, design-for-assembly and value engineering principles. You will also lead the industrialisation of new products and processes, approve manufacturing standards and drive initiatives that improve productivity, quality, capacity and cost efficiency. The role includes close collaboration with Operations, Commercial, Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance, as well as selected suppliers and partners. You will manage technical risk, ensure compliance with applicable requirements and escalate significant technical, operational, quality or capacity risks when needed. What we are looking for We are looking for a senior and experienced leader with a long background in manufacturing industry. You understand both technology and maintenance, and you are comfortable leading engineers as well as employees working close to production. You can combine strategic direction with practical execution and have the credibility to drive change across organizational boundaries. We believe you have: • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or product development engineering, or another relevant discipline • At least 8–10 years of progressive engineering or manufacturing experience • At least 3–5 years of leadership experience • Experience spanning product development and process or manufacturing engineering • A proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams through product launches, industrialization and operational improvement programs • Experience from maintenance and technical functions in a manufacturing environment • Strong leadership, strategic, financial and stakeholder management skills • The ability to influence, introduce new ways of working and drive sustainable change • Experience with preventive or predictive maintenance, reliability engineering or facility and asset management is an advantage • You communicate effortlessly in both Swedish and English, verbally as well as in writing.
