Test Developer

Assignment description We are looking for a Test Developer to join a team working with software testing for advanced powertrain solutions. The assignment focuses on testing new software functionality throughout the development process, from requirement analysis and test design to test execution in HIL and bench environments. You will work closely with function developers to ensure high software quality and reliable system behavior. In this role, you will analyze requirements, develop test cases and test scripts, and perform low-level software testing. You will also plan and coordinate test activities within agile sprints and contribute to continuous improvements in the testing process. The work is carried out in an agile environment according to the SAFe framework and involves close collaboration across development and testing functions. Qualifications: You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or another relevant field. You have experience with software testing and/or test development. You can analyze requirements and translate them into test cases and test scripts. You have knowledge relevant to HIL and bench-based software testing. You are comfortable collaborating closely with function developers and other technical stakeholders. You can plan and coordinate your own test activities within agile sprints. You have a structured and quality-focused approach to testing. You are comfortable working in an agile development environment. You are fluent in English. Meriting Experience It is meriting if you have knowledge of vehicle electrical systems. A plus is experience with embedded systems in vehicles. It is meriting if you have experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262. Good coding skills are considered an advantage. Experience with Python, particularly for test automation or Python-based test frameworks, is a plus. Swedish language skills are meriting. A C and/or CE driving licence is also considered an advantage. You are a structured and collaborative Test Developer with a strong interest in software quality and vehicle technology. You have an analytical mindset and are comfortable working with requirements, test cases and test activities. You enjoy working closely with developers and contributing to the quality of new software functionality.
