Test Engineer

This position reports to Test Engineering Manager and will work in Vancouver, BC.Vancouver: Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.About the position As Test Engineer of the Vancouver team, you will be working in cross functional teams to develop and support electromechanical and hydraulic products that lead the recreational marine industry. You will be involved in the complete development cycle from concept to production. This position takes a hands-on approach to design and implement effective test methods and equipment, create reliable measurement systems, and perform test data and root-cause analysis. Your main responsibilitiesDesign & implement improvements to product testing (equipment, processes, methods, analysis).Develop new product performance specifications and test methods.Develop and run V&V programs based on product DFMEA, industry standards, customer and internal requirements.Perform, selection, installation, and integration of sensors (pressure, force, strain gauges, displacement, etc.).Prepare and calibrate data acquisition equipment.Collect and correlate field data to lab tests and lab test data. Complete data analysis.Monitor and record multiple tests simultaneously.Prepare reports on the status of tests and analysis of results to the new product launch teams. Ensure data is trustworthy.Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on tested units and test equipment.Assist in the design and implementation of multi-variable experiments.Complete additional job duties and assignments up to 15% of the time.
