Vehicle Transporter Travel Trainer - Heath

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: I know, I know, you’re in logistics, you want more details… Responsible for providing a world class onboarding experience to newest Vehicle Transporters at Carvana Serve as the primary trainer, getting new hires up to speed over a 1-week training period on how to effectively maneuver, maintain, and operate car trailers and other logistics equipment Comfortable with classroom training as well as hands-on training Ability to be coach, mentor, and provide feedback to new hires Draw upon a wide variety of techniques to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. Use skills matrix and evaluation checklists/assessments or similar tools. Collaborate with multiple Logistics Managers to ensure a smooth transition from training to on-the-job Support with other projects as needed Travel is required 50% of the time, however business needs could dictate more travel. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; a majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels. Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Requires standing for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. THE QUALIFYING CANDIDATE MUST HAVE: High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable System and on the job training experience preferred CDL class A and clean driving record Smith Systems training and/or certification preferred or willing to be certified Bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand and climb as required to secure load 21+ years old Ability to speak, read and write English Proficient with word, spreadsheets, systems Have more than two years of CDL driving experience Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Maintain a DOT Medical card Ability to develop individuals and teams for organizational success WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN RETURN: Full-Time Salary Position: $75k - $80k Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits 401K with company match Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization Company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development Carvana is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
