Venture Builders and Potential Co-founders for Deep Tech Program at KTH

Discover science with potential and help build deep tech ventures from KTH KTH Innovation and KTH Ventures are running Pioneer- a deep tech program where 10-12 research teams develop their science-based innovations within industries such as Life Science, Materials, Quantum, Cleantech, AI and more. The Program leverages KTH Innovation’s nearly 20 years of experience in supporting deep tech innovation. How do You come in? We are looking for external Venture Builders to join the program and support the participating research teams in building ventures out of their research/technologies. We foresee that you will interact with several teams and explore different technologies but ultimately match with a team where you can take on the role as commercial driver and become co-founder (e.g. CEO, Project Leader, CXO) of a startup venture. What you’ll do As a Venture Builder in the program, you will be playing a crucial part in taking research towards commercialization. You will perform activities such as market validation, engaging with industry and exploring opportunities for financing, business development and technology development. Throughout the Program you will engage and collaborate with other Venture Builders and research teams in monthly onsite program activities in Stockholm such as workshops and meetings. You will also perform market validation sprints together with a research team where you are leading business development for achieving key milestones. We expect you to be able to commit part-time (minimum 20%) pro-bono during at least 8-12 months. Certain activities, such as conducting market validation sprints will be compensated via smaller consultancy fees but your main incentive should be to join and establish a venture that you could become co-founder and co-owner of. This program is not for you if you are looking for consultancy, investment opportunities or pure advisory roles. You should be willing and able to onboard a new venture in an operational role.
