Water Treatment Technical Expert

responsibilities: Provide technical leadership for treatment process selection, design, optimization, pilot testing, and commissioning. Support project delivery, staff development and mentorship, and technical innovation. Provide insights into firm water treatment strategy and provide technical approaches to support key pursuits. Identify market trends, emerging water quality issues, client needs, and technical expertise needed to capitalize on ever changing water services. Help build strong relationships, including interacting regularly with internal staff, clients, teaming partners, industry groups, and stakeholders. Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensuring client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others to ensure positive morale and engagement. Work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that Olsson is leading, developing long-term client relationships. Work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful design of water treatment facilities. Mentor, guide, and develop other team members to become technical experts within the water sector. Master’s degree in chemical, civil or environmental engineering preferred. Minimum of 15 years of drinking water industry experience, including process design and engineering. Must be a licensed professional engineer (PE). Strong technical background and experience in the municipal water market, water treatment, water quality, and regulatory compliance. Experience in leading and mentoring others. Active professional organization participation. #LI-RS1 #LI-Remote The typical annual salary range for this role is as listed below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role may be eligible for our performance‑based bonus and merit increases.
