Staff Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a staff-level individual-contributor engineering role at an AI-native fintech SaaS company building modern Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tools for finance teams. You will partner closely with the CEO and CTO to shape platform architecture from an early stage, with meaningful influence over how the product and engineering culture scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap. - Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end to end. - Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack. - Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing team and culture. - Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture. - Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with solid React experience. - True full-stack capability or a very frontend-leaning profile; either is welcome, but balance matters. - Demonstrated staff-level engineering impact: architecture ownership, mentoring, and measurably raising the effectiveness of those around you. - Experience partnering with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables. - Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including designing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services. - Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale. - Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. - Consistent employment history with sustained tenure in previous roles. - Interest in staying on a senior individual-contributor track rather than moving into executive management in the near term. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $185,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
